Welcome to Australia’s first integrated health hub – Vitality Village. In collaboration with Be, Double R Group officially opened the doors to the incredible health and wellness hub at Birtinya at the end of July.
Featuring a large mezzanine area, multi-functional rooms, open-space for events, community gardens, and café the $28 million facility is a collaboration hub, bringing together like-minded companies together to share their skills and knowledge to come up with innovative ways of working and transforming health and wellbeing.
“It was a unique opportunity to be involved in a building which has a focus on health and wellbeing in the community and would house a mix of not-for-profit and commercial tenants,” Double R Group Director, Ken Reed said.
“We were excited to participate and particularly happy with the end result.”
The Village is already home to several Sunshine Coast services including; Be, Character Care, 121 Care, Entag, Allied Health Team, Sunshine Coast Respiratory and Sleep Clinic and Compass.
“Despite having only been open for two months, we are already starting to see forms of collaboration through some of our tenants,” Vitality Village Manager Lisa Ward said.
“Character Care, which is a counselling and phycology service, have provided bikes for their workers and fellow tenants to use, meanwhile tech company, Entag, has sponsored one of Compass’s support animals.”
