The finishing touches are being made on the Australian-first collaborative health and wellbeing hub – Vitality Village – which will see commercial and not-for-profit organisations all working under one roof when the doors open in July.
Double R Group has worked in partnership with community-service provider Be to turn the vision for Vitality Village into a reality, with over 70 per cent of the space already leased to commercial and not-for-profit organisations prior to the construction being completed.
Double R Group Director Ken Reed said he was excited that Be had brought together a range of industries including allied health, disability support services, training and education, elderly support, health technology, youth services, and sleep health.
“We can officially announce some of the businesses who will be joining Vitality Village will include, Be, Entag, 121 Care, The Compass Institute, Health Care Australia, Look Now Training, Character Builders, The Allied Health Team, and Sunshine Coast Respiratory & Sleep,” Ken said.
“These are all wonderful organisations who are making a difference in the lives of Sunshine Coast locals. Over the next month they will continue to fit out their spaces and help transform Vitality Village into a vibrant hub.”
Be Vitality Village General Manager Dr Amanda Clacy said some of the tenants have already begun their collaborative relationships as they prepare to move into the space.
“These opportunities to work together, grow business, explore new ways of supporting clients, and build a community of practice are just some of the reasons our tenants are excited about moving into Vitality Village,” Amanda said.
“Individually without Vitality Village, some of our tenant organisations don’t have the resources available to undertake program evaluations or challenge out-dated industry practice through innovation, so they are very excited to be joining the village where research and innovation are some of the cornerstones of our vision and mission.
“Tenants are also inspired by the size and capacity of the Vitality Village spaces, expanding their opportunities to hold community workshops, work with other companies outside of a standard office environment, encourage their staff to spend time outdoors, and be involved in world-leading cross-industry projects.
“It is this mix of unique relationships and motivating spaces that our tenants say will help them to create real change both for their clients and their industries.”
There are a limited number of opportunities remaining to secure space within Vitality Village, with tenancy areas starting from just 24sqm in size.
